LATEST CUPHOLDER SOLUTION AT HEINZ FIELD, JUST IN TIME FOR 2019 SEASON

What do you do when your venue has 60,000 cupholders that are old and faded with peeling stickers that do little to enhance the fan experience? Branded Seats® knows what to do and just launched a new product that solves all of these issues along with bringing life back to a lack luster seating environment.

When Heinz Field contacted Branded Seats®, we only had to see one picture of their existing cupholders to realize that there was a serious problem. Over the past 15 years at Heinz Field, fans have had challenges with cupholders that were too small, angled down- ward and had an open front that would allow beverages to spill. In addition, the cupholders were faded and had ugly stickers peeling off from power washing and weather exposure over the years.

Heinz Field knew what they were looking for and gave our team a call. It had to be a different style of cupholder and solve specific issues in order to make their project a success. The new cupholders had to be molded in their custom yellow color, include updateable advertising, designed with a larger diameter to fit the popular souvenir cups and mount parallel with the ground so that your favorite beverage would not spill.

When Branded Seats® first discussed this project with Heinz Field there was some serious excitement that our latest innovation was in the final design / R&D phase and would be a great fit for their venue. Our product development over the past few years had evolved to not only provide an updateable advertising insert and 3D emblem on a stand alone cupholder, but a bracket system that would provide adjustable tilt that results in the cupholder being installed parallel with the ground and therefore holding beverages more vertical.

Heinz Field had an even bigger request, could we make the inside of the cupholder larger to accommodate the latest over-size souvenir cups? Well, fortunately we have in-house design and engineering capabilities and it was time to get busy considering the tight time frame of this project. After all, when you spend $18 for a drink and branded souvenir cup, you would like it to fit in the cupholder at your seat, right?

After a few design revisions, engineering analysis and rapid prototyping, the Branded Seats® “Big Daddy” stand alone cupholder came to life. Now it was time for production to begin.

Branded Seats® products are proudly designed and manufactured in the USA. In fact, all manufacturing and preassembly was com- pleted in Southern California. It took over 1,100 Hours to produce 60,000 pieces of the finished product. This included 53,000 lbs of raw material and UV color inhibitor. Loaded into over 860 boxes and a total of 6 Semis to transport the order to its final destination of Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.

Before installation started, all of the old cupholders had to be removed. Considering that the old cupholders were on for over 17 years, this was a huge task. As cupholders were removed a new adjustable bracket was installed. Then the new cupholder snapped into place which was already loaded with the Heinz Field 3D emblem and the PRIDE snapgraphic advertising insert. According to Shad Bruce, Branded Seats® President, “Once the installation was underway, it went pretty smooth. It was incredible to see the before and after transformation.”

Heinz Field used the PRIDE in Yourself, PRIDE in the GAME campaign on their cupholders throughout the stadium. This is an important message and the new Branded Seats® cupholders are the closest advertising space to the fans. Anytime during the season, this messaging can be interchanged or updated easily with- out the use of ugly stickers.

SAN DIEGO, California, September 12, 2019: Heinz Field Fans can now enjoy the game experience without worrying about their beverages spilling right in front of them. Branded Seats® just completed replacing 60,000 cupholders at this iconic venue. Branded Seats™ patented invention has a tamper resistant snap lock that clips on to the existing cup holder. CUPHOLDER DISPLAY AT THE 83RD MLB ALL STAR GAME

Branded Seats™ is happy to announce completion of its first installation of CupHolder Displays at the Kansas City Royal’s Kaufmann Stadium.

Apart of  a larger agreement with the Kansas City Royals to install nearly 1,000 units of its patented in-seat advertising CupHolder Displays in Kauffman Stadium’s Diamond Club Box and Diamond Club Seats, the CupHolder Displays debuted at the 83rd MLB All Star Game.

In addition to the CupHolder Display, more than 1,200 units of Branded Seats™ signature product, the SeatBack Display, will be installed later this season, and another 5,000  displays will be installed before the start of the 2013 season. One of the most common questions we receive regarding our product is, "How is it better than a sticker?” Although Branded Seats™offers many of the same benefits as traditional stickers, it also improves cup holder advertising by updating the look of branding, is an easier update process and creates more sponsorship options for venues to incorporate into marketing packages. Its our patented design that makes our product stand out from the rest. Branded Seats™ began from our own experience updating stickers in a local venue and evolved through the development of solutions to the common problems we saw.

Have you ever see the ugly sticker in your venue? It may be the sticker applied slightly crooked, tearing or peeling away from the cup holder, or maybe its the sticker that has not survived numerous power washing’s and the outdoor elements. STADIUMS CAN SAY GOODBYE TO “UGLY STICKERS” WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF BRANDED SEATS™

Phoenix, Ariz., July 15, 2011 – Stadiums around the country can now breathe a sigh of relief. Shad Bruce, owner of Detail Design and Fabrication, (DD&F), a creative studio in Phoenix has just announced a new retro-fit solution to the messy stickers used for brand sponsorship and recognition on the cup holders at stadiums across the country. Branded Seats ™ is a patented new invention that clips on to the existing cup holder in a tamper resistant manner. The retro-fit solution combines three new sponsorship and branding areas and does not use stickers.

Working with stadiums across the country, Bruce knows firsthand what it takes to change out a sponsorship. “After numerous rounds of updates to cup holders, we realized this was a problem at stadiums worldwide,” said Bruce. Stickers are not easy-to-update, they are hard to remove, they get weathered and unreadable from sun, destroyed by cleaning products and are eventually vandalized and picked off.

“The only solution to date, was to apply a new sticker on top of the old sticker. Through this process, stickers get applied crooked, or they are only partially visible because of the position and angle of the seats. Overtime, this begins to look unprofessional for not only the venue, but for the paying sponsor,” stated Bruce.

As a product designer, Bruce resolved to find an easy-to-update solution for sponsorship changes. After many years, Bruce was been awarded several US patents for Branded Seats ™, utilizing this unique technology.

Branded Seats™ benefits venues by increasing brand awareness and sponsorship revenue. The new retro-fit is less expensive than replacing the entire cup holder with a new one and installs in just seconds, which is the only other solution at this point. Stadiums can choose from three new branding areas which include a message at the top of the retrofit, an emblem that can be used for the team logo for website and molded in any color, or a main graphic panel that is fully updateable, and can be printed full-color on the reverse side of clear material with a tamper resistant snap lock into the main body of the cup holder.
